Vagimilt®is a drug with an association of an antibiotic; Clindamycin and an antifungal component; Clotrimazole. Vagimilt® exhibits the properties inherent in the individual components of the drug.

Clindamycin inhibits protein synthesis in bacterial cells by binding to the 50S-ribosomal subunit. The drug is active against major pathogens of bacterial vaginosis (Gardnerella vaginalis, Mycoplasma hominis, Mobiluncus spp)

Clotrimazole – – antifungal preparation from imidazole derivatives group with wide spectrum of action for topical use. Antifungal effect is caused due to impairing of synthesis of ergosterine and fungal cell membrane. The drug is effective against yeasts, dermatophytes and all kinds of molds, and also acts on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
