Bacterial Vaginosis increases the risk of inflammatory diseases of the uterus and appendages (fallopian tube & Ovaries), premature birth, complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

Bacterial Vaginosis during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage; trigger the development of chorioamnionitis (inflammation of fetal membranes) and intrauterine fetal infection. Bacterial vaginosis can also lead to the development of postpartum endometritis.

Therefore, treatment of bacterial vaginosis is a must!
